What is PECERA?

           Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association (PECERA) is dedicated to disseminating and supporting research in early childhood education within the Pacific area.

           The PECERA (Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association) is an organization dedicated to disseminating and supporting research in early childhood education within the Pacific Area. Conference participants will be coming from many countries within the Pacific area including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and others.


Purposes:
1: The principle aims of PECERA shall be to:
  (a) Provide an academic forum in the Pacific region for the development and dissemination of high quality research in early childhood education.
  (b) Facilitate cooperation and collaboration among researchers in the Pacific area working in the field.
  (c) Promote links between research and practice in early childhood education.
  (d) Raise the visibility and status of research in early childhood education in the Pacific region.

2: These aims are to be accomplished through:
  (a) Holding an annual conference and other meetings.
  (b) Sponsoring a research journal, either published by the association or in concert with other associations.
  (c) Establishing a Pacific network of researchers and scholars in order to facilitate communication, cooperation, and collaboration among them.
  (d) Providing a database of member's research interests, areas of expertise, and current research activity.
  (e) Engaging in such other activities that might facilitate the development of research, policy and practice in early childhood education.
