Faculty of Education


The Faculty of education was established in 1957, consists of four academic departments:

  1. Department of Educational Policy, Management, and leadership
  2. Department of curriculum, instruction, and Educational Technology
  3. Department of Music, art, and Dance Education
  4. Department of Education Research and Psychology

In addition, there are demonstration schools at the kindergarten, elementary and secondary levels.

            Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School has developed from a small lab school with an enrollment of 30 students in 1958 to an all-encompassing one with 1500 students (2007). The school has reconstructed more premises to provide bigger classrooms, special rooms and better facilities to cater to the growing needs. The school celebrates 50 th Anniversary in 2008.

            Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School aims at fostering students' intelligence and moral quotient as well as encouraging creativity, self - confidence and proper self- expression in both Thai and international contexts. The school has a variety of programs which helps to provide the students with a balanced and holistic education.

            Academic programs are especially tailored to help students improve their skills. Especially information technology “IT” skill, the basic use of computers and access to information sources via the Internet are provided.

            Since the school was opened in 1958. We have been providing and demonstrating the new technics. Until then we're proud to present the new innovation called “FUN FIND FOCUS” curriculum.

            Founded in 1917 by H.M. King Vajiravudh (Rama VI), Chulalongkorn University is the oldest and has been considered one of the country’s most prestigious universities. It was named in honor of King Chulalongkron (Rama V) for it was during his reign that modern education in Thailand began to develop. In the succeeding Years, Chulalongkorn has grown to be a full-sized university consisting of 18 Faculties 2 schools and 3 colleges.
